Quarterly Efforts

Track staff appointment time, demographic data of contacts, and effort allocation across program areas in PEARS.

A Quarterly Effort in PEARS tracks your Cooperative Extension appointment time, the demographic data of your contacts, and how your effort is allocated across program areas and critical issues for a given quarter. Each record captures your FTE, program areas, demographic totals, and Grand Challenge/Critical Issues effort percentages.

Getting Started

To access Quarterly Efforts, hover over the Reflect menu in the top navigation bar and click Quarterly Efforts. The Quarterly Efforts list displays all of your records with options to search, filter, sort, and create new entries.

Workflow

Creating a complete quarterly effort record involves several steps:

General Information

Enter the quarter, FTE, program areas, reporting period, and any comments.

Demographics & Effort

Enter the demographic breakdown of your contacts and allocate your effort across Grand Challenge/Critical Issues.

Multi-State Projects (optional)

Add any multi-state or integrated research and extension projects you contributed to during the quarter.

Mark as Complete

Once all required sections are finished, mark the quarterly effort as complete.

TIP: Each user can have only one quarterly effort record per quarter and reporting period. If a record already exists for your quarter, you will need to edit the existing record instead of creating a new one.
